Professional presence on the web

Your professional presence on the web should be the same as you, or your company, "in real life". This is not a new concept. Companies like Sears were displaying a professional image in their catalogs 100 years ago. Customers who would never see the retail stores purchased items "remotely" - through the mail.

The number one thing to do is - be consistent. As a graphic designer, I have seen that this is the most difficult thing for my clients to do. But the most successful, and most professional, are consistent. Take a look at how you (or your company) is represented on the web. Always use the same logo. Always use the same photo of you (if you choose to use one).
