Drawing a horizontal line on a web page

A good designer can do wonders with the simplest of tools. A nice horizontal line, properly placed on a page, can be elegant and add structure, too.

Here is how to do it in Dreamweaver. Place the cursor where you want to insert the line, go to Insert>HTML>Horizontal Rule.

You can change the width of the line, the length of the line and remove the drop shadow (which is the default) if you want to.

A humble tool that a good designer can use well!
