How to check your stats in Google Blogger

It's good to know how much interest your blog is generating. Looking at "followers" really doesn't tell you much. Someone may have clicked "follow" on your blog and never looked at it again. Admit it, you've probably done it, or something similar to it, like making a friend on Facebook and then hiding them.

If you really want to know how your blog is doing, you can check the "stats", or statistics, which will tell you all about the number of pageviews per day (don't forget to click "don't count your own pageviews") your traffic sources, your audience (hey, you may be very popular in Brazil!), types of browsers and operating systems used to view your blog. No, you can't find out who is visiting you - it's not spyware!

To access "stats" go to your dashboard (where you go to click "new post") and select "stats". From there you will see hyperlinks that give you all kinds of information. If you are familiar with Google Analytics, it's sort of a simplified version of that.

By the way, if you don't have much of an audience yet, don't despair. Give people time to find you. Continue to write about things that people want to search for. They will find you, with Google!
