How to create categories in Google Blogger

If you are writing a blog about various things, like I do, such as Adobe Photoshop, or Google Optimization, it's nice to give your readers a way to see what categories interest them so they don't have to plow through all of your stuff. The trick in Google Blogger in creating categories is that they call them "labels" when you are writing your post. The place to create a label for your post is in the lower right corner of the "new post" box.

If you look to the right of this page, you will see that Google Blogger has used the heading "Categories", as it should be. So, there you go: "categories" are "labels".

I really don't know why software and web sites like this use a different term for something, other than what it should be called. I suppose they mean well. Maybe someone there is trying to fix this, and is arguing with their boss. Happens all the time.

If you would like to learn Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Dreamweaver, please contact me. I do personal on-site training sessions in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.
