How to save a Word file as a pdf

To save a Word file as a pdf, go to File>Save As.

From that box, select Format>PDF. 

If the option to save as pdf is not available, your version of Word is out of date. But if you have the Adobe CS Suite, you can do it from there, in Acrobat Pro.
