How to get rid of the annoying *what's hot* in your Google+ stream

If you have been enjoying Google+ for a while, and following people that interest you, you may have noticed lately that your stream has become infested with a lot of annoying *what's hot* posts from Google. I'm sure that they mean well, but if it's annoying you, here is how to get rid of it.

Over on the left of your page, click on the words *what's hot*. That will take you to the *what's hot* page where there is a graphic of a straight line with a circle in it. It doesn't look like anything, but it's a slider. Slide it all the way to the left and the *what's hot* posts disappear. Slide it to the middle and you get less. The default, of course, is to get a lot.

Again, I'm sure that they meant well. I've been a software trainer for a long time, and I always say that, with a smile, and with only slightly clenched teeth.
